Big-Law Thinking, Small-Firm Attention.

Brhan Ahmed was born and raised in California’s Central Valley and traveled across the United States for education and legal work. Mr. Ahmed observed that people from diverse communities throughout the country needed skilled legal representation to protect their rights and navigate difficult disputes. Those experiences inspired him to pursue a legal career focused on helping people obtain meaningful access to justice. Mr. Ahmed left Fresno to earn his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (formerly known as Boalt Hall).

Mr. Ahmed went on to practice at the global law firm Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, most recently serving as a Senior Associate in its Los Angeles office. During his large-firm career, he represented major companies and sophisticated clients in complex, high-stakes matters worth billions. He worked alongside, and across from, some of the country’s most accomplished attorneys, developing the judgment, discipline, and strategic perspective required to handle demanding legal disputes.

Despite his work across the United States, Mr. Ahmed remained deeply connected to his hometown. He recognized a need in Fresno and the Central Valley for the same caliber of sophisticated and determined legal representation routinely available to the world’s largest companies. He therefore returned home and founded Adala Legal.

“Adala” means “justice.” The firm’s name reflects its central purpose: helping clients understand their rights, stand up to powerful interests, and pursue fair and meaningful outcomes. Adala Legal combines large-firm experience with personal attention, local roots, and a commitment to ensuring that every client’s voice is heard.
